Alaska Military Heritage Museum

TO TELL THE STORY

Our mission at the Alaska Military Heritage Museum is to identify, collect, preserve, and interpret Alaska’s rich military history. This is done through the collection, preservation, and restoration of unique historical military artifacts from remote Aleutian and interior locations in the state of Alaska.  These military artifacts tell the relatively unknown story based on facts of Alaska’s historic military past, present and future role and standing guard for America.

INUIT SOLDIERS

The history of others has not been displayed enough. Here at Alaska Heritage Museum we ensure that the story is told so you know that we all played a part into history.

The memories of war and all that it brought to our country is a life that everyone lived. However, that life of war was truly felt by those who were part of it. Here we have a small glimpse of those that gave a part of their lives. Please help us keep that history alive and known.
